Monarch - Biorefinery site

Monarch Biorefinery is the future of low-carbon manufacturing. Once a shuttered 55-million-gallon-per-year ethanol plant, Crysalis is transforming this 57-acre site into an advanced biorefinery through a five-phase redevelopment project that will redefine sustainable fuel and chemical production. Over the next few years, Monarch will evolve into a cutting-edge facility producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), ultra-low-carbon bio-acetonitrile for the pharmaceutical industry, and other high-value bio-based products—all while leveraging the existing agriculture, ethanol infrastructure, and domestic workforce of the American Heartland to accelerate scalability and commercialization. This site will serve as a model for how legacy biofuel assets can be repurposed to drive the next era of American energy independence and sustainable manufacturing.
