Instrumentation & Electrician Technician

Crysalis Biosciences, Inc. is seeking a motivated Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join our growing team. As an I&E Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating plant-wide electrical and instrumentation systems. You will work together with our team to ensure safe and efficient equipment operations that support maximum production quality and output. Our technicians work with industrial electrical systems, PLC/DCS platforms, instrumentation devices, and control systems within a manufacturing and/or processing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the plant maintenance program to repair or replace equipment and systems during scheduled or emergency maintenance.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities as required.
- Follow safe working practices, including permitting, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and applicable FSMA programs, and engage in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs.
- Coordinate and collaborate with operations and shipping/receiving teams to complete scheduled repair work.
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance-related issues.

While collaborating with our engineering and manufacturing groups, you will help ensure the successful completion of any maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, or installation of new systems. In this role, you will be a technical resource who provides and shares expertise on equipment and options to improve maintenance and operating practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance team across safety, planning, TPM/reliability, cost, efficiency, quality, and labor utilization.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the plant's overall preventive and predictive maintenance programs utilizing a CMMS system.

Responsibilities:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, operation, safety, environmental compliance, and financial performance of an ethanol production plant. This role ensures the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements while meeting production, quality, and cost objectives. The plant manager will report to the CEO.
A key focus for this position will be the successful integration of advanced process technologies—such as AlphaTech and high-protein fractionation systems (e.g., PROTOMAX™/APP™)—to transform traditional co-products (DDGS/WGS) into high-value specialized products for global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Direct and manage day-to-day ethanol plant operations, including fermentation, distillation, dehydration, solids handling, and co-product production (DDGS, syrup, corn oil, COâ‚‚, etc.).
- Ensure plant production meets or exceeds volume, yield, and efficiency targets.
- Optimize process performance, minimizing downtime and maximizing throughput.

- Oversee day-to-day ethanol plant operations, including grind, fermentation, distillation, dehydration, solids processing, and co-products (DDGS, syrup, corn oil, COâ‚‚).
- Ensure production targets for volume, yield, uptime, and efficiency are met.
- Coordinate shift schedules, staffing, and operating priorities.
- Lead safe plant startups, shutdowns, and rate changes.
Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Enforce all safety policies and promote a strong safety-first culture.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations.
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action plans.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process operations; ethanol or biofuels experience preferred.

Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports the financial operations of an ethanol production facility, with a focus on inventory, production costing, and commodity accounting. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and alignment with plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile inventory balances for corn, ethanol, & distillers grains & corn oil
- Track and analyze yields, shrink, and production variances
- Assist in monthly cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations and standard cost updates
- Partner with operations to validate production data and inputs
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Assist in financial statement preparation and variance analysis
- Support accounting for hedging instruments in coordination with policies under ASC 815 Derivatives and Hedging (if applicable)

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Scale Operator to join our team. The Scale Operator will be responsible for weighing and recording materials for distribution in a warehouse setting.
Duties:
- Operate truck scales and computer systems and always promote excellent customer service with external customers/grain haulers.
- Request necessary load information from drivers for proper contract application.
- Accurately grade all quality factors of inbound grains, proficiently and accurately.
- Analyze test data and determine appropriate action.
- Operate computerized scale software to ensure accuracy of all transactions.
- Maintain timely communication with the operations department, maintenance department, and grain department for all incoming trucks and deliveries.
- Maintain and calibrate testing and weighing equipment.
- Weigh all incoming and outgoing DDG’s, Corn Oil, Syrup, Chemicals, etc.
- Maintain accurate records in Excel.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the plant by requiring necessary identification and documentation.
- Be in constant communication with our supply chain team regarding daily allocations and shipments of products.
- Keep the grading/testing equipment clean and supplies fully stocked and prepared.
- Open and/or close the scale room depending on your work hours, clean and fill printers, including the truckers printers.
- In the absence of the administrative team members, backup and cover those positions responsibilities, along with being able to handle your position.
- Perform housekeeping duties necessary to maintain a clean work inside and outside of the scale house area.
- Other duties as may be assigned to accomplish the safe and timely day-to-day operations.
